Terbuka kepada semua sekolah menengah di bawah Kementerian Pendidikan Malaysia. Setiap pasukan terdiri daripada 3 orang murid (Tingkatan 1 hingga Tingkatan 5) dan seorang guru pembimbing.

National ICT Security Discourse, or NICTSeD, is Malaysia’s first national cyber security school discourse, initiated and organized by CyberSecurity Malaysia in collaboration with the Ministry of Education (MOE), has been a beacon of knowledge for students and teachers since its inception in 2013. Its aim to stimulate creative and critical thinking has effectively enabled its participants to discuss global internet and technological issues, identify solutions to mitigate risks and challenges and develop into smart and ethical internet users.
Over the past decade, NICTSeD has been a highly anticipated event on the school calendar, engaging and educating students and teachers in person. However, the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 and the subsequent movement restrictions greatly affected the event, impacting the competition. Despite this, NICTSeD has continued successfully delivering captivating and informative cyber security sessions. let us recognize the profound impact that NICTSeD has had in raising awareness and educating the nation on cyber security.
